Who owns
your desire?

The Order would silence it. PleasureTech would sell it back to you. Pirates would rather decide for themselves.

These are not neat blocks on a map. Their reach follows people, routes, contracts, and the choices that keep a crew together.

Beyond the faction emblem

Same needs.
Different terms.

Work, pleasure, care, and the right to refuse. The differences become clearer when the question is an ordinary part of somebody’s day.

You need a living.

Pirates

Trade, repairs, salvage, or a job with a crew. Independence leaves room to make your own arrangements, but no central authority guarantees that the next deal will feed you.

Order of Abstinence

Education and service can offer a profession and a place in a durable institution. The danger comes when the obligation matters more than the person who agreed to it.

Hedonists

Corporate employment can come with useful infrastructure and access to services. Leaving becomes harder when the employer also supplies the necessities of daily life.

Inside the faction →

You want an evening of your own.

Pirates

A film, a noisy performance, a meal, or chosen company need not justify themselves. Freedom of taste is the attraction; a safe venue and trustworthy company are separate questions.

Order of Abstinence

Imperial music, stories, and ceremonies still exist. Art that celebrates duty has room to flourish; experiences that encourage appetite or attachment face suspicion.

Inside the faction →

Hedonists

Entertainment and intimacy can be tailored to personal taste. The experience may be wonderful, while the provider’s influence over that taste is much harder to see.

Inside the faction →

Someone offers to change you.

Pirates

The pirate ideal leaves the decision with you. Fjela chose to have her implant removed by Sabrina; that trust between people is not a guarantee of care in every free port.

Inside the faction →

Order of Abstinence

The Order presents correction as release from desires that control you. When authority decides which feelings are acceptable, treatment can take away the ability to choose.

Hedonists

Medicine and customization can deliver a change someone genuinely wants. Under debt or dependency, the same promise can become another party’s power over a body or identity.

Inside the faction →

Different people. Shared names.

A faction does not tell you everything about a person. Origins, loyalties, and life aboard the crew can be far more complicated.
